The Ultimate Labor Day Guide
Labor day usually means a transition to fall and back to school for those of us on the west coast. I'm never ready for summer to be over, so celebrating is one way to have one last hurrah before I start to come to terms that the pumpkin spice is coming out in full force. Are you gathering with friends and family this labor day? Maybe you have one last summer trip planned. I've got everything you need to celebrate Labor Day.
The Ultimate Labor Day Guide
I'm not ready for fall just yet. In fact, it's MY least favorite season. I would prefer to soak in the sun and enjoy the final days of summer. So I am using labor day to celebrate summer! Here are some ways you can do that too!
Staying Home
I just read that Labor day food purchases are second only to Thanksgiving plans. People love their summer barbeques! Here are some favorite recipes to help you plan!

Traveling
After a few years of not being able to travel, getting out of the house for a long weekend might be high on your list! I like spending time at the beach before the weather turns. One of my favorite beach locations that's not far from home is Seabrook. I'm also a HUGE fan of Alderbrook on Hood Canal.
If you didn't plan ahead for this year, you can start looking at VRBO to book for next Labor Day!
Here are some tips on how you can make mealtime easy in a vacation rental! You don't want to trade one kitchen for another, I want you to have a relaxing trip too!
Did you know that you can send a meal kit like Hello Fresh to your vacation rental? You can! Meal subscription services may be too expensive for you to use at home, but they may be the most economical thing you can do while traveling to make life easier. Take advantage of the deep discounts and coupons!
Things to Buy on Amazon for Fall
Don't miss this Lululemon fanny pack dupe. My college-aged daughter bought me the Lululemon one for our Paris trip, and my son stole it! I need to get the dupe for those days I don't want to carry a purse.
If you are traveling, I love this cell phone stand to watch shows on the airplane. I won't travel without it. It comes in a 2-pack, so you can save one for a gift if you'd like!
At the start of a new school year, I always make a new school resolution. Mine this year is to drink more water. If getting a new tumbler helps you, then buy a new tumbler. You don't have to be trendy and buy the $140 Stanley one.
I read a lot. If you are looking for a new book, I put all my past favorites on this list. There's not a dud in there!
Get yourself a cozy blanket. This is our favorite, but don't buy it here, it's too expensive. Go to an actual Eddie Bauer store and get them for around $50. Still spendy, and not super cute, but oh my word, these are our favorite blankets and have been for years!
Are your feet always cold? Buy yourself some wool socks. Do it now before the price goes up!
Not ready for summer to end? This is my favorite floatie. I can read a book {without it getting wet!} and have a sturdy BIG cup holder and float for hours!
Get out there and celebrate Labor day! Enjoy the time with family and friends and mark the end of a fun summer!
