Painting Your Stairway the Easy Way

disclaimer: this post is brought to you by HomeRight. All opinions are 100% my own.

Paint is one of my favorite ways to transform a room. It doesn't cost a lot of money but it makes a huge impact in a space. That said, painting is not my favorite thing to do. It takes time and some prep work, neither of which I like, but after it's done, the results are long-lasting and I'm always glad I did it. That's not to say that I'm not always looking for an easier way to do it and I think that HomeRight has figured it out for me. Especially when I tackled the stairway in my home recently. I was having panic attacks thinking about our two dogs running through trays of wet paint tracking cute little doggie paws all over our carpet. Not to worry, there was not a single paint tray involved and far less back and forth because of this, the greatest painting invention ever.

Painting Your Stairway the Easy Way

I must confess, this HomeRight EZ-Twist PaintStick seemed a little gimmicky to me. How could this PaintStick replace all the things we know are part of painting? It couldn't really cut paint time like it claims could it?

Yep.

There are no roller trays, no drips and no mess. Seriously, it could not have been easier. Plus, I saved a ton of time because I didn't have to walk up and down the stairs to refill and re-dip my roller.

The EZ-Twist draws paint directly from the can into the handle so you don't need the traditional roller tray. No bending over to re-dip, no going back and forth, heck, no kids or pets wandering through your tray tracking paint all over the house!

Once you get the paint loaded, you just twist the EZ-Twist stick to feed the roller.

On a big wall like on a stairway, the twist handle can extend to 64" so you probably won't need to perch an unsteady ladder on your stairs to reach those hard to get areas.

To get more paint, just twist the handle to not only get the perfect paint flow but also the right amount of paint for even coverage.

To make the process go quickly, use a brush to paint the edges by the trim.

You are going to also want to paint in any corners that you have. That way, you can just zip right through with you EZ-Twist PaintStick and get er done.

{Don't mind all my paint samples. It took me longer than it should have to land on a color I finally wanted to use on the walls.}

Not only is the stairway this color, we have painted 75% of the home this color so it was a big choice to land on just the right thing. I ended up using Sherwin Williams Emerald Interior paint in Navajo White.

Now you can quickly and easily paint all those hard-to-reach areas of your home like the stairway.

While at first I thought this thing might be a little gimmicky, I was surprised that it did just what it said that it would do. I got the job done, and in good time and I didn't drop a single drop of paint on the carpet. I didn't have to walk up and down the stairs to refill and I didn't need any open paint trays laying around.

I call it a win and would recommend it. Plus it's pretty affordable, especially because you are saving time.

Pick one up. It's the easy way to paint your stairway.

What color did you use? I have a hard time with color so it is fun to see it on a whole wall.

Hey Lia! The color is Navajo White from Sherwin Williams. I really like it. It's creamy but light.
