I'm going to tell you, I'm not really good at making hard boiled eggs. I don't think I ever did it until I was a mom with kids dying Easter eggs. I don't like hard boiled or deviled eggs, so I guess I never saw a need for it. But, those kids, they will get you every time! One year, I thought I had hard boiled eggs. All three kids man handled them, dyed them, heck, we even used them for an egg hunt AROUND THE HOUSE. One of the kids cracked into it to eat it for our customary Easter morning breakfast {theirs, not mine.} and it was runny in the middle. Oops. So, all that to say that I am terrible at making hard boiled eggs. It's a skill I only need once a year at Easter and I think I may have found a work around that actually works. Yep, I make them in my instant pot. It takes about 15 minutes start to finish and you will get perfectly cooked hard boiled eggs every time. Come find out how!
Make Perfectly Cooked Hard Boiled Eggs in Your Instant Pot
Your Instant Pot probably came with a trivet. Mine did. You are going to want to pull that out of whatever drawer it's hiding in because you need it for this. In case you didn't get one, you can buy one here.
Pour one cup of water into your Instant Pot and then place your trivet into the bottom.
Carefully add your eggs making sure they aren't overlapping. You will probably only be able to cook up to a dozen eggs at a time.
Close the lid and set manual high pressure for 5 minutes. Allow the pot to release pressure naturally for 5 minutes and then carefully release any leftover steam.
Pull your eggs out after 5 minutes and put them in an ice bath. Let them sit in the ice for about 5 minutes.
Remove your eggs from the ice bath and they are ready to use!
Easy as that. What do you think? Best part is, they are also really easy to peel. Like the peel slips off in one piece easy. Yep. It's like magic.
Give it a shot and let me know what you think.

So simple and super easy. I would definitely try this at home with my little cousins🙌🏾
