Halloween is my favorite holiday, only running a close second behind Christmas. I think it's because I love how the community opens its doors and people walk around talking to their neighbors. It's that, or the free candy. Probably it's mostly the free candy. Every year I craft something new for the holiday. This year, I made these super easy DIY witches feet in a cauldron. Seriously, they took me less than 5 minutes to make and under $10 total for the project. It's something you can replicate and then we can be Halloween decoration twinsies. Won't that be fun?!
Easy DIY Halloween Witches Feet
I picked up these witches feet for $3.50 each at Walmart. There are lots of tutorials on how you can make your own, but man, buying them at that price is probably cheaper and easier. Yes, for sure, easier. I bought this witches cauldron over the summer at a garage sale for fifty cents {stores are teeming with them right now though and they aren't too pricey} and the floral foam came from the dollar store. I bought some twinkle lights at Walmart for a few bucks but I've seen them in the dollar spot at Target too. You will also need some white feathers. I had them leftover from this project.
You can leave the lights off, but they do add a fun fall Halloween feel to the project.
I started by putting the witches feet into the floral foam. Depending on how deep your cauldron is, you may need to cut a bit off the end of the stake from the feet. I took off a few inches so the feet would be flush with the floral foam.
Place your floral foam and feet into the cauldron. I added the white feathers around the top to disguise the floral foam.
I slipped the battery pack from the lights in to the back. Make sure the on/off switch is towards the top so you don't have to fish around too much to turn on your lights.
Organize the lights around the feathers so they cast the perfect amount of glow and then stand back and admire your new Halloween creation.
You can find some of my black and white Halloween DIY decorations in this post from last year. I think they compliment my new witches feet quite well.
Seriously, super easy, fairly inexpensive and super fun to create this new Halloween decoration for your home.
