DIY Beer Opener
You will need:
beer openerstain
scrap wood
vinyl
Silhouette or Cricut cutting machine
I used a scrap piece of wood from the pile we have in the garage. Please tell me you have a wood pile scrap bin too? Because if not, you will need to *gasp* buy wood. You don't need a big piece. Mine is 3 1/2 x 10". I used stain to color the wood {can you tell I had some leftover from making my table?}.
I found this bear opener at my local craft store {Artco...if you are in Tacoma, WA, it's my favorite and you should go!}. It was only $1.99. I found a similar one on Amazon if you aren't so lucky. I just drilled some holes and sunk some screws to mount the opener. Easy peasy.
Then, I cut out some vinyl on my Silhouette machine {please tell me you have one because if you don't, you need to buy one like yesterday!} . If you need a tutorial on cutting vinyl, this one may help you.
**I have both a Silhouette and a Cricut cutting machine and I share which one is my favorite. The answer might surprise you.
Pick up a six-pack and gift this little drink local beer opener to your favorite beer-drinking guy {or gal!}.
It's the perfect Father's Day gift
Or it would make a great hostess gift for summer BBQ's.
I'm not the only one using my Silhouette to craft for the guys this month. Come check out these other great projects from some of my favorite bloggers.

Great minds!!! Mine is the other bottle opener. I love the redish tone of stain you used. It is perfect! These really are a fun, easy, fast and cheap project to make.
