It's no secret that I love my silhouette machine.
Over the past few weeks, I'm sure you have all seen the amazing new Silhouette product called double sided adhesive paper floating around with tutorials around blog land.
Thank you Silhouette for sending me some of my very own to try!
This paper is fantastic for all of your glitter crafts.
And while I love glitter as much as the next guy {well, any guy other than my husband},
I decided I wanted to try out the strength of this paper and make some initial button art for my daughter Isabella's room.
I love how it turned out!
And I was quite impressed with how sticky the paper was.
I started out with a blank canvas that I painted blue.
While the paint was drying, I went to my silhouette design software and cut out an I.
When cutting, make sure the yellow side is down and your white side is up.
Once it's cut, peel off the adhesive on the yellow side of your piece.
Then carefully adhere your project in place.
I was so careful that my finger was in front of the flash.
I found a few packets of white buttons at a garage sale that I was storing up for a project just like this.
I wasn't sure how many buttons I would need.
I actually ended up using less than one of the packages.
Hooray! Many more initials coming soon!
Once you have your initial in place, you peel off the white cardstock from the adhesive backing.
Then I set to work making a pattern of buttons on the sticky cut out.
Not to worry, if you make a mistake, you can peel and restick your button.
I'm rolling right along.
If you look closely, when the button holes are turned just right they look like a smiley face.
You're welcome.
Just keep on keeping on, putting your buttons into place.
Just keep on keeping on, putting your buttons into place.
Easy as that!
I can't wait to find the perfect place to hang this in my daughter's room!
What would you do with Silhouette's double sided adhesive paper?
Glitter, flocking? Some other material?
