If you spend any time here at, Holy Craft, you will know that I love crafting, but as you know, crafting can be expensive.
I try to find the most inexpensive way to make really cool things that I love.
I try to find the most inexpensive way to make really cool things that I love.
I found this pair of clip on earrings last year at a garage sale in the free box.
These earrings had lost their clip, and I have pierced ears, so I stashed them away until I found a use for them.
There are lots of ideas for re purposing clip on earrings.
In my own style used this clip on earring on a ribbon to embellish this wrapped gift.
Ruffles and Stuff did a whole post on 10 different ways to reuse clip on earrings.
I decided to use my clip on earrings and make some rings out of them.
It's so easy and took me about five minutes to make two rings.
You will need:
side wire cutters
clip on earrings
hot glue
ring base (I got mine from pick your plum)
Use your wire cutter to cut as closely as possible and remove the clip on earring base.
Once the base is removed make sure there aren't any sharp edges.
If there are sharp edges you can cut closer or file the sharp edges down.
Put hot glue on your ring base and secure the two pieces together.
That's it.
Easy as pie!
This summer, I am definitely going to be keeping my eyes peeled at garage sales for more clip on earrings.
There is so much to do with these great accessories.
Do you have any new uses for clip on earrings?
